WordMine ("we", "the site") is a free, browser-based word game at wordminegame.com. This page explains what data the site processes and the cookies it may set.
Data we store on your device
The game itself runs entirely in your browser. We do not require an account and we do not collect names, email addresses, or payment details. The only thing the game saves is a small localStorage entry recording your Hard Mode preference, so the setting persists between visits. This never leaves your device and you can clear it any time via your browser settings.
"Challenge" links encode the custom puzzle (and an optional display name you type) directly in the URL. Nothing about a challenge is stored on a server — there is no backend.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate, anonymous usage — for example how many puzzles are started and win rates by puzzle type. Google Analytics may set cookies and processes data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. We do not use this data to identify individuals.
Advertising
We may display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Your choices
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can clear the game's saved preference at any time. Disabling cookies does not stop you from playing the game.
Children
WordMine is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
